Lift Van Loading

This method is normally used when your shipment will be going into storage during the move process. The Lift Van crates are loaded and sealed directly at your origin residence, and the Lift Vans are loaded directly into the container. Lift Van loading eliminates the double-handling of your goods when going into, and then back out of the storage warehouse. Additionally, Lift Van loading increases the level of protection for your goods in transit by reducing shifting and movement inside the container. (Lift Van loading does require more container space than Loose loading for the same amount of goods.)

Loose Load or Direct Loading

This method is used when house-to-house loading and delivery is possible at both origin and destination. The goods are loaded directly into the shipping container at your origin residence. The crew takes care to load carefully and tightly to reduce shifting inside the container during transit. Additionally, a wooden ‘bulkhead’ is used to brace the contents from shifting within the container. The container is usually ‘sealed’ at your residence. Loose Loading is generally less expensive and allows more items to be loaded.
